"The album's emphasis is most certainly on the songwriting, not the individual wanking abilities of any of the band members, so it lends itself well to repeat listenings. Each instrumentalist is clearly a master of his chosen instrument, it's just that they have - thankfully - held back when the song demanded it and not let their egos get in the way of a great composition. It's refreshing to hear such high quality music coming out of a rather stale scene, and a bonus that the ones producing it are Australians." more>>>

"...prog, ladies and gentlemen, is alive and well, and you don't have to be into inflatable pigs, or capes, or even the more mundane aspects of bad '70s fashion, to get the full effect. It enjoys its rude health thanks, in no small part, to four guys from Tasmania who call themselves "The Third Ending".....ambitious music played with genuine flair, and the promising beginnings of what could grow to be a very bright musical star indeed." more>>>
"Every so often, seemingly out of nowhere, an album crops up that simply hits the spot, pushes all the buttons and keeps one's finger stabbing at the repeat button. Perfectly played and arranged with sterling performances by all four musicians, intelligently written, original and diverse, The Third Ending have created a masterpiece that deserves to be heard all around the world. Go out and buy a copy so they can release a follow-up soon!...." more>>>

"Melodic, approachable, hard-edged progressive rock with one foot in the metal camp and the other in the third-wave of progressive rock. Imagine a confluence of Dream Theater and early Spock's Beard - and yes, The Third Ending's self-titled debut displays musicianship that matches those two grand-daddies of progressive music...." more>>>
