The T3E April tune is live!
Well it’s the third of the month again, so it must be time for a new track. If you just want to skip straight there, here’s the relevant page, or you can just stream it on the little music widget player thing up to the left there. You can’t miss it, it’s blinking like it’s trying to give you a seizure.
You might notice that the online store is no more. We had a few problems with peoples’ downloads not working properly, and at the end of the day we’re musicians and not intertube scientists/magicians, so we’ve decided to leave our music purchase/download operations to somebody who knows what they’re doing. Henceforth you can now stream and purchase T3E music at our brand sparkly new bandcamp.com page.
Ok, that’s enough talk. Go check out the new song, and if you like it we’d really appreciate a purchase. Those links again:

You can also find Frame by Frame at Bandcamp in case you missed out last month (or if you just want to buy a copy to support the band). Our self-titled first album is there too. A veritable feast of musical goodness!
And let us know what you think! We love hearing your feedback (or at least it’s nicer than hearing Curtis’s feedback, which is loud and hurts our delicate ears).
Until next time!
The Third Ending

Wow, how a song can evolve! Having known, and loved, the ’08-vintage S&S, it’s nevertheless great to hear the added 7/4 time and radically different first half…almost like turn-of-the-century Radiohead, before the awsome-but-totally-UNRadiohead heavy guitars kick in. So perhaps the overall sound is closer to what a Radiohead/Muse supergroup might sound like…and that is intended as a SERIOUS compliment!
Now waiting for a more work-friendly time to download…

Instead of writing about how great this song is, a short personal note:
The ‘christmas present’ version of this song was released while I was under heavy stress during the final graduation phase of my study. It kinda became a theme song for that period because I listened to it often.
Now, more then three years later and listening to this new version, I cannot help but being reminded about that period and realize how much has changed since then. (Luckily in a good way, as the song did)
Thank you for that!
(This probably isn’t what you guys intended the song to do, but I just wanted to let you know it did for me;)

Thanks Joost, I know what you mean about music that helps you through exams and other stressful times, and I’m glad that the original version of this track did that for you.
To be honest, we weren’t sure how people who knew the demo version would react to the current version, but it’s an important track to us. It was written shortly after the first album, and represents a turning point for us, stylistically. It kept evolving along with us, and we’re really pleased with how it ended up.
