Want to sing backup on the next T3E single?
Hey there music fans!
Can you sing (even a little bit?) If so, we’d love your dulcet tones to grace our new single.
Here’s briefly how it works: Just download the guide tracks, record yourself singing along to the vocal parts, then email your takes to us at info@thethirdending.com with the subject header “T3E Singalong” by the 28th of May. We’ll do the rest!
PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU READ THE FINE PRINT SECTION AT THE BOTTOM OF THIS POST BEFORE YOU PARTICIPATE.
Download them here (you might need to right-click to save them)
(but please make sure you read the FINE PRINT before you start recording!):
QUESTIONS ANSWERED
Can you tell me about the backing tracks?
Sure⦠they’re MP3 files. You’ll hear a count-in, then one run through of the chords, one run through with Nick singing the vocal part, then a few times through the chord progression with no vocals. That’s where you come in!
Do I need professional recording gear to record with?
We’d prefer it! But we can probably throw a few less-than perfect recordings into the mix and make it work, so just send us the best quality you can muster and we’ll do the best we can. Make sure you’re wearing headphones to listen to the backing, because we only want to hear your beautiful voice – not the guide track.
Should I mix my vocal in with the backing track?
No no no! Just send us your raw vocal recording with no backing track mixed in. We’ll do all the digital mixing jiggery pokery back here at T3E H.Q. (actually we’ll probably make Curtis do it)
What format should the submitted tracks be in?
Ideal would be a 24bit WAV or AIFF file at 44.1Khz, but we’ll take an MP3, OGG or FLAC file with no major complaints. If you’re not sure, just send us what you’ve got and we’ll see what we can do!
When do the tracks need to be submitted by?
All tracks in by the 28th of May please!
Thanks – we look forward to hearing your work!
